Mario's Galactic Adventure Preview Is Here, Revealing Fresh Faces Rosalina & Bowser Jr. Voice Cast
Nintendo alongside Illumination shared the initial complete preview for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie this Wednesday. It was showcased in a Nintendo-focused broadcast that centered on the upcoming animated film.
Following up on the 2023 blockbuster The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this new installment will transport Mario to the outer limits of the galaxy. There, he will encounter a new princess and a challenging new adversary in Bowser Jr., the son of the King of the Koopas.
A Space-Faring Quest Drawing from Iconic Releases
Much like the games from the Wii period that serve as its inspiration, Mario will leave behind the well-known surroundings of the Mushroom Kingdom to explore outer space. Throughout his extensive trek, he will encounter once more some familiar faces, including the Luma, a breakout star from the first movie.
However, it seems Mario and his brother Luigi will face a fresh enemy in the form of Bowser's angry little boy, who reportedly utilizes powers related to metal. Worth mentioning, the teaser for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is not only concentrated on visuals from the Galaxy games; it also includes nods to further iconic releases like Super Mario Odyssey and Bowser's Fury.
Celebrity Voice Actors Reprise Roles and Welcome Newcomers
The movie will see the return of the primary vocal talent, with Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
Fresh faces in the lineup for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are Brie Larson, who will voice Rosalina, and Benny Safdie, set to embody Bowser Jr. It was announced by the CEO of Illumination, Chris Meledandri.
